My Healthy Carnivore Journey In Short
IN THE BEGINNING...
2020 was the year I began questioning conventional nutritional beliefs, including the food pyramid, the roles of fat and cholesterol, red meat, and more.
Surprisingly, I discovered that many of these widely accepted ideas aren’t backed by solid scientific evidence.
In April 2020, I started a low-carb keto diet.
A month into keto (which still included vegetables), I complained to my cousin about slow weight loss. His advice? “Ditch the veggies, eat just animal-based food.”
At the time, I was the “salad queen,” but I decided to give his advice a try. That’s when I transitioned to the carnivore diet - no carbs, no sugars, no veggies, no fruits. Just protein and fat. I began eating only animal-based foods (meat and eggs), with a small amount of dairy but no milk.
This change was excellent! It made me feel physically and mentally healthier, and I lost 25 kilos of excess weight in less than six months.

Since mid-2020, I have eaten what is known as the Carnivore diet.
I refer to this nutrition as The Right Food for People: the food our ancestors evolved and thrived on.

What do I eat:
-
Meat, eggs, butter, and some fish. Most of my meat will be ruminant animals, especially beef, along with the accompanying fat. I occasionally eat fish. I try to eat mainly grass-fed-finished meat (click here to see where I get my meat from) and wild-caught fish. I also enjoy bones and meat broths.
-
Vegetables - None. Occasionally I will have sauerkraut.
-
Dairy: I eat lots of butter. Occasionally, I’ll have feta cheese made from goat or sheep milk. Very rarely, I’ll eat hard cheese made from cow’s milk.
-
Fruits: None.
-
Sugar, grains, and seed oils: None.
-
Alcohol: On rare occasions (maybe once a year), I’ll have a small shot of tequila.
-
Tea: I stopped drinking it in November 2024.
-
Coffee: I drink very weak decaf coffee and sometimes add butter to it.
Why am I sharing this?
Despite THRIVING on a carnivore diet for a few years now - I still encounter skeptical gazes and doubtful comments.
That's why I decided to:
-
Gather scientific studies
-
Promote those whom I learned from,
-
Create playlists that are related to this lifestyle
-
Recommend documentaries that are eye-openers.
-
Write articles.
-
Design graphics relating to this healthy lifestyle.

My Personal Perspective
For me, the carnivore diet is far more than just a way of eating and weight loss. It’s a lifestyle rooted in ancestral wisdom. Beyond food, I prioritize health practices like better sleep, sunlight exposure, earthing, and exercise and physical movement.
This is not just a diet for me; it’s a lifestyle.
